There is a very good blog article on capital punishment / murder / killing etc. on C. Michael Patton’s blog Reclaiming the Mind: Parchment and Pen, a Theology Blog.  His blog article is entitled “A Primer on the Christian Understanding Capital Punishment.”  Can a God of love endorse capital punishment?  Can a follower of Jesus who is taught love and forgiveness have a position of capital punishment?  Are these contradictions?
